There are two main categories of guaranteed college scholarships. On the one hand, you have guaranteed college scholarships that are offered by agencies looking to fleece you of your money. They usually advertise guaranteed success rates and other marketing slogans meant to entice unsuspecting victims. The other type of guaranteed college scholarship is one offered by individual schools that automatically provide reduced tuition to those meeting certain criteria (merit, sex, race, religion, proficiency, or financial need). In many cases, there are additional conditions attached to these scholarships. For example, students must keep up their grades, participate in certain extracurricular activities, or work on campus.
Finding Guaranteed College Scholarships
There are countless books and Web sites that are either dedicated to guaranteed college scholarships, or at least have sections on these free monies. Simply search for these at your local bookstore or library, or spend an afternoon researching the various options online. In addition, many colleges and universities offer guaranteed college scholarships to attract students and boost enrollment. Note that just because a university offers guaranteed college scholarships does not mean that it suffers in quality in any way, shape, or form. Sometimes they offer these types of grants and scholarships to increase diversity, attract more students for a given field, or to boost a particular sports team or extracurricular outlet.

What have you got to lose except a little time? College is expensive, and if organizations, schools, or individuals are handing out free money, take them up on their offer. Why shoulder the full burden of paying for your education if you don't necessarily have to?
